Yellow roses of Texas

I just remembered the lovely bouquet of yellow roses my sister Gillian and her husband greeted me with when I arrived to visit them in Texas.
Sadly, I took photos only when they were past that perfect opening bud stage, but here they are anyway.

Thanks for posting the photo of those yellow roses! Happy memories of your visit here. And lovely to see the ones in your garden too. Lots of work for you! Antique roses grow well here in Texas. I need to learn more about them... We need the variety that is easy and effortless for our garden...

What gorgeous roses on these posts... can't believe the colour in this one. Our one yellow rose bush produces strange, thick, pale flowers now, though quite prolific... maybe it needs some kind of food? Or sun... the jacaranda is shading it quite heavily now.
