Tomatoes in progress - on the computer

I am only just beginning to realise how useful a programme like 'paint' can be. I never could get on top of Coreldraw or Corelpaint , and don't have them on the computer any more.
But with the simple paint programme, I could draw in a missing tomato, some stripes, some shading. Magic. Some copy and paste .. it is fun!
I also realise the colour pick tool is great for assessing a shade or tone. If you have never done this... try selecting the colour of your teeth in a photograph ... across the whole smile. It is a revelation! And enough to send me to the dentist for whitening treatment.

I didn't know you could do so much in 'paint' - I've only ever done doodles on it while talking on the phone! Very useful for trying things out on paintings - your tomatoes are looking great, love those stripes cropping up again.
I found out about teeth when painting that Vic Falls with hats painting... I first put on what a thought was a 'tooth-colour' and it looked like a very unrealistic Colgate ad - couldn't believe how much I had to grey it down to make them look more natural. Photos of moi lately are making me peruse the teeth-whitening ads with more interest too!

Tomatoes are such a great subject! Love the stripes you've added too.
I have no idea how to do any of the things you're talking about! But it sure does sound useful, but I'm insecure about my ability to learn how to make things work!
(I spent a very frustrating afternoon trying to get either one of my printers to work--downloading drivers, checking connections, reading troubleshooting articles--all to no avail.)

Wow V - when you get busy - YOU GET BUSY!! I love all of it, especially the toms - and the garlic on the ochre - superb pinkish purple on the garlic!! I enjoy staring at your work and learning from it. Beautiful!

Thanks, girls! It turns out to be simpler on the computer paint than in real paint, and I am in my old fix of waiting for quantities of white mixed into paint to dry, before I can fix it with glazes.
Oh Laura, I do hope your printers work. Don't you HATE it when tech things go wrong. It's odd that both packed in at once. I am going away for 6 weeks and leaving house sitter here. You would not believe all the things that choose this week to give trouble.

Vivienne,
the pictures are very much fantastic...
paint or any program or the real paint and brush could make pictures to life and life to pictures when a gifted artist handles it...
you are a great artist...
congratulations...
